Insurance Requirements Addendum
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
1800AUTOTOW INC.
This Insurance Requirements Addendum ("Addendum") is incorporated into and made part of the Tow Service Provider Agreement between 1800AUTOTOW INC. ("Company") and the towing service provider ("Provider").
Provider must maintain all insurance coverage specified in this Addendum as a condition of Platform access. Failure to maintain required coverage will result in immediate suspension.
1. REQUIRED INSURANCE COVERAGE
Provider shall obtain and maintain, at Provider's sole cost and expense, the following insurance coverage with minimum limits as specified:

2. COVERAGE DESCRIPTIONS
2.1 Commercial Auto Liability
Covers bodily injury and property damage arising from the ownership, maintenance, or use of tow trucks and service vehicles. Must include:
- All owned, non-owned, and hired vehicles
- Coverage for towing operations
- Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage
2.2 On-Hook/Cargo Coverage
Covers damage to customer vehicles while being towed, transported, or otherwise in Provider's care, custody, or control. Coverage must apply:
- From the moment the vehicle is hooked/loaded until delivery
- For all types of damage including collision, theft, vandalism, and weather
- Without exclusions for mechanical breakdown caused by towing
2.3 Garage Keepers Legal Liability
Required if Provider stores customer vehicles at any location. Covers damage to customer vehicles while stored, including:
- Fire, theft, vandalism, and collision
- Weather-related damage
- Employee negligence or dishonesty
2.4 General Liability
Covers third-party bodily injury and property damage claims arising from Provider's business operations, including:
- Premises liability
- Completed operations
- Personal and advertising injury
- Products liability (if applicable)
2.5 Workers' Compensation & Employer's Liability
Required if Provider has any employees. Must comply with statutory requirements in all states where Provider operates. Sole proprietors and owner-operators without employees may provide a signed waiver form.
3. ADDITIONAL INSURED REQUIREMENTS
Provider shall name the following as Additional Insured on all required liability policies:

The Additional Insured endorsement must:
- Be provided on ISO form CG 20 10 or equivalent
- Cover both ongoing and completed operations
- Provide primary and non-contributory coverage
- Include a waiver of subrogation in favor of 1800AUTOTOW INC.
4. CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
4.1 Initial Submission
Provider must upload valid Certificates of Insurance (COI) through the Provider Dashboard before accessing the Platform. Certificates must:
- Be issued by an insurance company rated A- or better by A.M. Best
- Show all required coverage types and minimum limits
- Name 1800AUTOTOW INC. as Certificate Holder and Additional Insured
- Include policy numbers and effective/expiration dates
- Be signed by an authorized representative of the insurance company or agent
4.2 Ongoing Requirements
- Annual Renewal: Updated certificates must be uploaded at least 30 days before policy expiration
- Material Changes: Provider must notify Company within 5 business days of any policy cancellation, non-renewal, or material reduction in coverage
- Verification: Company reserves the right to verify coverage directly with Provider's insurance carrier
5. INSURANCE LAPSE & ACCOUNT SUSPENSION
WARNING: Operating without valid insurance is a violation of law and this Agreement.
5.1 Automatic Suspension
Provider's Platform access will be automatically suspended if:
- Any required insurance policy expires without a valid renewal certificate on file
- Insurance carrier notifies Company of policy cancellation or non-renewal
- Coverage is reduced below minimum required limits
- Provider fails to add 1800AUTOTOW INC. as Additional Insured
5.2 Reinstatement
To reinstate Platform access after suspension:
- Upload current, valid Certificates of Insurance meeting all requirements
- Confirm all drivers and vehicles are covered under the new policies
- Acknowledge any applicable reinstatement terms
Reinstatement is not guaranteed and may be subject to additional review.
6. CLAIMS & INCIDENT REPORTING
Provider must notify 1800AUTOTOW INC. within 24 hours of any incident that may result in a claim, including:
- Vehicle accidents involving Provider's tow truck or equipment
- Damage to customer vehicles during towing or storage
- Injuries to customers, bystanders, or employees
- Property damage at customer locations
- Any claim or lawsuit naming 1800AUTOTOW INC.

7. INSURANCE-RELATED INDEMNIFICATION
Provider agrees to indemnify and hold harmless 1800AUTOTOW INC. from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Provider's failure to maintain required insurance coverage
- Provider's failure to properly report claims or incidents
- Any gap in coverage during which Provider operated on the Platform
- Claims excluded from Provider's insurance policies
- Misrepresentation of insurance coverage
8. STATE-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
The requirements in this Addendum are minimum requirements. Provider must also comply with all state and local insurance requirements, which may exceed these minimums. Provider is solely responsible for determining applicable requirements in each jurisdiction where Provider operates.
Common state-specific requirements include:
- Higher liability limits for certain vehicle types or weights
- Specific on-hook coverage endorsements
- Mandatory PIP or no-fault coverage
- DOT/FMCSA filing requirements for interstate operations
9. DISCLAIMER
1800AUTOTOW INC. DOES NOT PROVIDE INSURANCE ADVICE. The requirements in this Addendum are for the protection of 1800AUTOTOW INC. and its customers. Provider should consult with a licensed insurance professional to ensure adequate coverage for Provider's specific operations and risk profile.
1800AUTOTOW INC. makes no representation that the minimum limits specified are sufficient to cover all potential claims or losses.
10. MODIFICATIONS
1800AUTOTOW INC. reserves the right to modify insurance requirements at any time with 60 days' notice to Providers. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated requirements.
