Provider Privacy Policy

For Towing & Roadside Assistance Service Providers
1800AUTOTOW INC.
This Provider Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how 1800AUTOTOW INC. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal and business information of towing companies, operators, drivers, and their representatives ("Providers," "you," or "your") who register for and use our platform.
This Policy is separate from and in addition to our general Privacy Policy (which applies to customers) and supplements the Tow Service Provider Agreement.
By registering as a Provider on our Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM PROVIDERS
1.1 Business Registration Information
When you register as a Provider, we collect:
- Company legal name and DBA (doing business as) name
- Business address and service area
- Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Tax ID
- State business license and registration numbers
- DOT/MC numbers (if applicable)
- Business type and entity structure
1.2 Owner/Operator Personal Information
- Full legal name of owner(s) and authorized representatives
- Email address and phone number
- Date of birth (for verification purposes)
- Driver's license information
- Social Security Number (for tax reporting, if required)
1.3 Driver Information
For each driver operating under your Provider account:
- Full legal name
- Driver's license number, state, and expiration date
- CDL information (if applicable)
- Phone number for dispatch communications
- Profile photo (optional)
1.4 Insurance Documentation
- Certificates of insurance
- Policy numbers and coverage limits
- Insurance carrier information
- Policy effective and expiration dates
1.5 Vehicle & Equipment Information
- Tow truck/equipment make, model, year, and VIN
- License plate numbers
- Equipment type and capabilities
- Vehicle photos
1.6 Financial Information
- Bank account information for payment deposits
- Payment processing information
- Tax documentation (W-9 forms)
1.7 Automatically Collected Information
When you use our Platform and mobile app, we automatically collect:
- Location Data: Real-time GPS location while using the Provider app (for dispatch and customer tracking)
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, unique identifiers
- Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, login times
- Performance Data: Response times, completion rates, customer ratings
2. HOW WE USE PROVIDER INFORMATION
We use Provider information for the following purposes:
2.1 Platform Operations
- Verify your identity and business credentials
- Create and maintain your Provider account
- Match you with customer service requests based on location and capabilities
- Facilitate communication between you and customers
- Process payments and commissions
- Provide customer support
2.2 Verification & Compliance
- Conduct background checks (with your consent)
- Verify insurance coverage and validity
- Verify business licenses and credentials
- Comply with tax reporting requirements (1099 forms)
- Respond to legal requests and regulatory requirements
2.3 Quality & Safety
- Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction
- Investigate complaints and disputes
- Enforce our Provider Agreement and platform policies
- Prevent fraud and abuse
- Ensure platform safety and security
2.4 Communications
- Send service request notifications and dispatch alerts
- Provide platform updates and policy changes
- Send payment and earnings notifications
- Deliver training materials and best practices
3. HOW WE SHARE PROVIDER INFORMATION
We do not sell Provider personal information. We share information only as described below:

4. DATA SECURITY
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect Provider information:

- Secure cloud infrastructure with access controls
- Multi-factor authentication for Provider accounts
- Regular security audits and penetration testing
- Employee access limited to need-to-know basis
- PCI-DSS compliance for payment information
While we use commercially reasonable safeguards, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
5. DATA RETENTION
We retain Provider information according to the following schedule:
- Active Account Data: Retained while your Provider account remains active
- Service Records: Retained for 7 years after service completion (for legal/tax purposes)
- Tax Documents: Retained for 7 years as required by IRS regulations
- Insurance Records: Retained for 5 years after policy expiration
- Location Data: Retained for 90 days, then anonymized
- Post-Termination: Account data retained for 3 years after termination for legal compliance
6. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
As a Provider, you have the following rights regarding your information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal and business information we hold about you
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through your Provider Dashboard or by contacting us
- Deletion: Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt-Out of Marketing: Unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time
- Location Tracking: Disable location services (note: this will affect your ability to receive service requests)

7. CALIFORNIA PROVIDER RIGHTS (CCPA/CPRA)
California Providers have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used
- Right to delete personal information (with exceptions)
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt-out of sale/sharing of personal information (Note: We do not sell Provider information)
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights
California Providers may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on their behalf.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Provider Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Post the updated Policy on our website with a new effective date
- Notify you via email and/or through the Provider app
- Provide at least 30 days' notice before material changes take effect
Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
